The Coppermines Mountain Cottages

With magnificent views to the Coniston mountains above and Coniston Water in the valley below, The Coppermines Mountain Cottages are our unique and exclusive venue, perfect for a wedding or celebration and are licensed for civil ceremonies.

Set amongst bubbling becks, waterfalls and rugged crags, the valley unfolds before your eyes as you look out of the front door. Look left and you will be graced with the rolling Yewdale crags and to the right, The Old Man of Coniston rising 2000ft into the Lakeland skyline.

There is something magical about sitting out and celebrating with your guests during the warmer days and lighter nights, however given the unique setting the Coppermines valley it is a beautiful backdrop whatever the season. The summer months are, as expected, always the most popular so please check availability in advance.

Our prices vary throughout the year, and it is possible to book just a 3 night weekend, a 4 night midweek break or a full week from a Friday or Monday. Please see our price lists for more details.

Please note that the venue is situated in a true ‘mountain environment’, ideal for those who really love relatively ‘harsh’ isolated locations. We ask that you consider the nature of the venue before booking a viewing.
